Meetings run late, things happen at home – we get it. Sometimes you just can’t be on someone else’s schedule. If you do need a ride home, we’ve got you covered with our Emergency Ride Home benefit.
Simply make ride arrangements that make sense for you, then save the receipt and you can be reimbursed for the cost of the ride.
To qualify for a reimbursement, you must be registered with CommuteInfo*, participate in a registered vanpool, carpool or Bike Now program and ride in the bike group, carpool or vanpool the day the ride home is needed. The reason for the Emergency Ride Home must also fall within the program guidelines. It’s up to you to arrange the ride and pay. Be sure to get a receipt. Within 30 days of the ride, you will need to submit a refund application and the receipt to CommuteInfo for processing and reimbursement.
The maximum number of trips that will be reimbursed annually is 4 per registered commuter or up to a total of $100 worth of trips. This program operates on a calendar year. Every January all CommuteInfo participants must re-register and then start over with the 4 rides and the $100 limit (unused rides and/or reimbursements will not be carried over from year to year).
For more information, call CommuteInfo at 1-888-819-6110.
*Transit riders should check with their transit operators to see if they participate in the Emergency Ride Home benefit.
